Un salto indietro al tempo dei feudi della famiglia Grimaldi. Nel XVI secolo il territorio di Mineo comprendeva quattro feudi principali, i “Feudi dell’Università”, ed altri minori infeudati ai baroni. La famiglia Grimaldi, feudataria della Azienda Agricola e del Castello, nel XVIII faceva parte della “mastra serrata” delle famiglie di Mineo, e tra le altre proprietà aveva anche un palazzo in Città.
HISTORY
A leap back to the time of the Grimaldi family’s fiefs. In the 16th century, the Mineo territory comprised four main fiefs, the ‘Feuds of the University’, and other minor ones enfeoffed to barons. The Grimaldi family, feudal owners of the Farm and the Castle, was part of the ‘mastra serrata’ of Mineo families in the 18th century, and among other properties had a palace in the town.
